I am a Creative Director that bridges the gap between traditional agency creativity and new-era consultancy. I solve digital innovation, transformation and marketing for companies across all industries and sizes.
I became a copywriter during the last days of leather-bound portfolios when even a pdf, let alone a website, was still new. Through my career I have slowly but surely moved from traditional TV, Print, and Radio to digital, to social, to thought leadership platforms, and now to innovation. Although I've been successful with traditional storytelling my entire career, I've learned to embrace more of my clients' perspectives to see beyond their marketing needs to their business needs. Through hackathons I've attended and organized to forming an innovation division within an agency to the network of innovators I've grown closer and closer to, I have found my own way as a creative to reach beyond the right headline or execution or idea or even platform to the highest (or deepest) needs of my clients.
Culturally I am into everything and encourage random discovery. I like to wander my office floors so you won't find me at my desk but you will at yours. I use email, Slack, Skype, etc but I prefer person to person. I work to keep a politically-free working environment for all that report to me and push for candor, honesty, and a safe space to express yourself. I thrive in front of clients, and hit well above .500 on pitches.
I have a good sense of trends coming before they gain traction (except for fashion) and I can usually guess where a show is going. I even predicted the end of MadMen during the previous season and have Facebook-proving posts that prove it! I don't have tattoos but I express myself through graphic tees a lot. I have a beard in winter and am clean shaven in summer.
My mother is an activist and my father was a psychologist. I am my parents' child.
I also launched an agency called Pro4Bono to help those who do good do better.
